Job Description:  Peer Services Coordinator

  • This position is a flexible full or part-time hourly position wage is $17-$20 per hour
  • Previous experience or knowledge requirements
    • Demonstration of peer leadership skills required
    • Facilitating presentations and or trainings
    • Effectively working as part of a successful team
    • Developing, providing or managing Peer Support Services
    • A high level of technology skill (i.e. Word, Excel, Access, Outlook, Publisher, Go to Training, Zoom, Prezi, and Dropbox
  • Duties
    • Utilize Peer Support Service best Practice Guide to provide consultation and technical assistance to Behavioral Health Peer Support Specialist service programs statewide
    • Develop measurements that demonstrate effectiveness of peer support services for various programs statewide
    • Must be able to coordinate and deliver various peer support and or recovery trainings, webinars and presentations virtually and in person
    • Outreach to service providers, form and maintain relationships with peer service providers across Montana
    • Represent MPN at local, regional, and state level councils, boards, meetings and committees as assigned
    • Work to achieve MPN’s strategic planning goals and objectives
    • Attend, coordinate and lead various meetings both in the community and virtually
    • Successfully deliver presentation and training material as directed
  • Travel across Montana will be required for this position at times
    • Reliable vehicle with driver’s license and required insurance
  • Peer Services Coordinator
    • Must be willing to publicly self-identify as being in recovery from a mental health, substance use or addiction diagnosis
    • Should be self-sufficient and able to work independently
    • Attend weekly staff, planning and operational meetings
    • Work effectively as part of the MPN team in conjunction with other organizational projects and partners
    • Be able to take direction, be punctual & complete tasks as assigned
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Agrees to uphold the policies, procedures, and philosophy of Montana’s Peer Network
    • This is a work from home position. A laptop, software and cell phone are provided by MPN
    • Will report to the Executive Director
